auction arrow On-screen isosceles triangle, orange in colour, which shows the minimum bid needed at any point in the auction. Also appears in the channel logo.

auction assistant Arranges the lots attractively and demonstrates them. Also joins the auctioneer mid-auction to preview the next lot.

bid-up.tv The auction channel, spoken as “bid up dot tv”.

bidder-upper One who watches or bids on bid-up.tv

Speed Auctions These open and close in double-quick time (about 3 minutes). Often accompanied by auctioneer running like a mad thing to the gavel.

travel to the gavel It rhymes. What an auctioneer does when they've called a lot “going twice”.
